Beauty Product Review: Garnier Nutritioniste Nutri-Pure Detoxifying Facial Cleanser

Maria Palma
Although I do believe that women should take care of their skin, I don't believe in many of the products that are on the marketplace these days. Perhaps that's why I washed my face with just plain soap and water for many years. However, on a recent trip to the drugstore, I passed by a very bright display of Garnier Nutritioniste products and I have to admit that I fell victim to what I call "PPM", or Pretty Product Merchandising. I was immediately drawn to all those green bottles. Kudos to the product design team for thinking of that color because I sure stopped in my tracks to take a look at all those Nutritioniste products!

Anyhow, since I have been on the hunt for the perfect facial cleanser, I settled on buying the Nutri-Pure Detoxifying Gel Cleanser. Although I don't recommend buying a product simply because it has nice packaging, I figured I'd try it out anyways. It's available in a 6.7 fl. oz. pump bottle and the gel feels very smooth to the touch. I used it every night before going to bed and it was pretty gentle to my skin. It didn't leave it dry like some of the gel cleansers I've tried in the past. Garnier Nutritioniste Nutri-Pure Detoxifying Gel Cleanser contains Vitamin E, Vitamin B5, green leaf extract, plus it's oil free - in other words, it's supposed to be good for your skin. The whole time I was using it, I think I only broke out one time and that's because I kept resting my chin on my dirty hands!

All in all I did like the product. I would recommend this facial cleanser to women who have issues with dry skin. Now I'm thinking that I may try the other Garnier Nutritioniste products. I've signed up at the website to receive some free samples of their other products. One product in particular has caught my fancy: Ultra-Lift Firming Moisture Cream. Ever since I turned 30 I've been a little bit conscious of the onset of wrinkles. Other products I have tried are the Garnier Nutritioniste shampoo and conditioner. I loved the smell of my hair after using them.

Anyhow, I'm not sure I will stick with this particular facial cleanser. I may venture out and try some of the new organic products on the market simply because I'm thinking of the long-term effects on the skin.

What do you think of the Nutritioniste Detoxifying Gel Cleanser?

I may have to try this cleanser. I use their moisturizer and love it. Their shampoo and conditioners are nice too, like you said. Don't you love the smell? Thanks for this review!

I bought the gel cleanser myself mostly because of the look and I already liked Garnier because of their shampoo's and conditioner's. All in all, I give it an 8...its a great product in my opinion...and it helped keep my skin soft and with less oil and dirt build up through out the day :)
