I'm use to living in hot environments, but those hot environments tend to be humid and in the city. Now that I practically leave in the woods up in the mountains of Oklahoma with dry, blistering heat beating down on my skin it's really changed things for me. I went from having flawless skin and rarely ever wearing makeup to having to wear makeup several times a week just to cover up my blemishes. Like many people I'm on a tight budget so I had to find something that worked but was still affordable. I've tried many products before discovering St. Ives Naturally Clear Apricot Scrub Blemish and Blackhead Control. This was actually my first experience with St. Ives. The only reason I decided to give this brand a try was because a friend of mine said their products were really good.
I bought this St. Ives product at Wal-Mart for a little over $3. I've heard some great things about this brand from friends but had never tried it myself until recently. Right off the bat I liked that this brand didn't test their products on animals, but that also made me a little skeptical about how well it would work for me. I haven't had the best results with cruelty-free beauty products as much as I love them.
I've used scrubs before and generally the instructions on the back says to not use it more than a few times a week because over using it could dry and damage skin, so I was surprised when the instructions for St. Ives Apricot scrub said to use it up to four times a week. I was worried but I did as instructed and was very pleased with the end result.
St. Ives Apricot scrub was very gentle on my skin. I didn't feel any irritation at all. My skin didn't flame up or dry out. It always left my skin feeling clean, smooth and soft. I've had the same results with other scrubs but a few hours later my skin would start to feel oily, I didn't have that problem with St. Ives.
My main reason for trying out this scrub was because it was suppose to help control blemishes and blackheads. Even though I've been getting blemishes I don't have them as bad as many people, just a few here and there, but still more than what I'm use to. I also have blackheads around my nose, barely noticeable unless you're inches from my face. After just a week of using St. Ives Apricot scrub I've noticed a big difference in my skin. It's not only softer but it looks brighter and healthier. I've gotten my blemish and blackhead problems under control for sure.
This is one beauty product that I'll be keeping around for a long time. It's affordable and gets the job done. I'd recommend this to anyone.

Post a CommentNice review, Alexis. I have been using this product for years and I love it. One of the ingredients are walnut shells and they do a phenomenal job of exfoliating. My skin always feels silky smooth after using it. Thanks!
