Beauty Product Review: Urban Decay Baked Bronzer

Rachel Bogart
I'll be the first to admit I'm a makeup junkie. I'm constantly looking into the new makeup trends and often save my money to buy the next hot cosmetic product. When it comes to makeup I definitely have a favorite brand: Urban Decay. This brand is known for well-made and high quality products. Urban Decay's products definitely last forever too. I've had some of my Urban Decay makeup products for over a year now and they haven't dried out, cracked, or anything. In addition, many Urban Decay products are completely vegan. They don't use any animal products in their cosmetics and they also don't test on animals. One of my favorite Urban Decay line of products is completely vegan. Instead of their makeup brushes being made out of animal hair like many other makeup brushes they're made out of completely synthetic fibers. Not only are their makeup brushes vegan, but they're also amazing at apply eyeshadow, blush, and more!

Recently I was searching for a new product, specifically a great bronzer. Bronzers are made to give you a nice sun-kissed look without the harsh chemicals of spray-on tans or the harsh summer sun's rays. Since it was the beginning of summer, I wanted a great bronzer to give me a nice summer look. I immediately hopped on the Urban Decay website at UrbanDecay.com and began browsing. It wasn't long before I stumbled upon the Urban Decay Baked Bronzer. According to the Urban Decay website, the Baked Bronzer gives skin a nice baked, toasty glow. It also can be applied to your face or body. It even suggests using it as an eyeshadow. The Urban Decay Baked Bronzer comes in three different shades: Baked (bronze and golden shimmer), Gilded (bronze shimmer with veins of gold), and Toasted (matte-no shimmer). Since I was a summery shimmer, I decided to go with Baked (and I'm so glad I did!). After I selected my shade, I purchased the Baked Bronzer from Urban Decay for $24.

When I received the Urban Decay Baked Bronzer I immediately wanted to try it out. I washed my face and applied my oil-control lotion. I then took a big brush and brushed it over the bronzer. Finally, I dusted my face lightly. My skin was immediately looking sun-kissed and glowing. I then continued to apply the rest of my makeup and needless to say, the bronzer worked really well under my blush and the rest of my cosmetics. The color also stayed all day and didn't wipe off at all.

Over all, I would rate the Urban Decay Baked Bronzer a 5/5. It's definitely a great bronzer that will give you a beautiful sun-kissed and summery look. I especially love the way it goes on so smoothly. It's not gritty at all! I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who wants a nice tanned look without a spray tan or tanning bed. This is the ultimate must-have year-round product. And for $24, you really can't beat the price! The product also lasts forever too, even after tons of applications!
