Beauty Queen Sarah Palin Named McCain's Vice President Nominee

On Friday, August 29 senator and presidential candidate John McCain named his vice president nominee, and to much surprise it was a woman who was apparently a former beauty queen. Many people on message boards and other chat hot spots are questioning what McCain's true motive is for picking Sarah Palin.

Obama has already issued a statement in which he said that Palin was not qualified to be vice president because her foreign exchange experience was for lack of better terms, well lacking.

Could it be that McCain is trying to get the Hilary crowd on his side by nominating a woman for vice presidential nominee? Will people begin flocking to her now? Former Miss Wasilla and Miss Alaska runner up, Sarah Palin is married with five children, one of which has down syndrome and another that is enlisted in the army. When younger, she used to wake up early to go moose hunting with her father and showed a keen interest in nature and the outdoors. She also has made history in Alaska by becoming the first female governor and the youngest governor at the age of 42. Whether or not women voters will leap to McCain's side just because he now has some female representation is not yet able to be seen but if the only reason he chose her in the first place was because of her gender I cannot understand why voters and people alike would not be insulted by the move. In fact, many journalists and bloggers have already caught on to the sly motives that have reared themselves this weekend. Sarah Palin is a very hot topic on the web right now as people churn out every bit of information that they can find out about her and her views on matters such as gun policy, she strongly supports gun rights, and same-sex marriage in which she opposes.

It is a rather odd turn of events that right after Hilary announced she would not endorse McCain and that Obama should be the next president, a woman was chosen as running mate for his bid for the White House but people will say it is just a coincidence.
