Beauty Review: Aveeno Active Naturals Positively Ageless Daily Moisturizer - SPF 30

My mother in law recently stayed with us and she left her cosmetics in the bathroom. That's when I found the Aveeno Active Naturals Positively Ageless Daily Moisturizer. Wow! This product is luxurious and a little bit self-indulgent.

I have tried many brands of facial creams, from expensive department store brands to Avon, to other Aveeno products. However, Aveeno Active Naturals Positively Ageless is special and I feel it's worthy of a review.

At online drugstores like CVS.com or Drugstore.com, the price varies between $15.99 and $19.99 for a 2.5 ounce package. You just have to shop around for the best deal. Aveeno is sold in drugstores and supermarkets so the price of their products is usually reasonable. If your local drugstore give "bonus bucks" or has a similar program, that can help reduce the cost.

What's special about Aveeno Active Naturals Positively Ageless Daily Moisturizer is that it contains a natural shiitake mushroom complex. In January 2003 on page 50, Redbook magazine reported that many cosmetic companies are using shiitake mushroom in skin creams because this type of mushroom contains kojic acid.

In the report, natural skin care specialist Nora Traviss stated that Kojic acid "prevents the formation of melanin, or pigment, in skin, resulting in a brighter, more even complexion."
