Beauty's Imperfection

Camie Doll
beauty sleeps in her velvet casket,
blonde hair, blue eyes, tear streaked face,
her purple wrists, show no signs of mercy,
she is no longer spreading her grace,

In the darkness she used to hide from you,
with her notebooks full of lies,
she wrote down her secret dreams,
with in-depth plans of her suicide,

Her long perfect hair, now unwashed,
nails built from manicures, broken,
the clothes her body wore so greatly,
the words she left written, unspoken,

Her beautiful eyes, now, like stone,
her lips that were deep pink, now blue,
the body that once carried such confidence,
now lays in this velvet box too,

The notebooks that held her life inside,
scattered, pages torn, words bruised,
colors of darkness, plague the covers,
the notebooks like her body, were used,

beautifully, artificially, gorgeous,
pretend, make believe, only fake,
inside her head were all wishes,
on the outside, deceived, full of hate,

The ring, that once graced her finger,
bracelets that once fell loose on her wrist,
a necklace that he had given her,
a picture of their very first kiss,

Her bones so revealing in her body,
evidence to go with the lies,
the notebooks holding the answers,
her family will read them and cry,

Unanswered prayers that she wrote down,
broken words from a broken soul,
we watch one last time as shes lowered,
its time that we must let her go
