Beauty's Only Skin Deep

Amanda Kidd
The Bible says, "Let your beauty come from within," because when God judges us, He judges by the heart. Yet in today's world, one's beauty is determined by physical attributes such as hair, eye color, and how sexy women appeal to men. Women have this pandemic perception that blond hair and blue, green, or gray eyes are authentic beauty. However, some people are ignorant to the facts that naturally blond hair and blue eyes are inherited recessive genes or traits. Natural blonds are categorized with other recessive disorders and diseases such as color blindness, Tay-sachs disease (progressive brain deterioration), sickle cell, and phenylketonoria - severe mental retardation. Do you now believe blonds have more fun? Do you still wish that you had naturally baby blue eyes? And now there's cosmetic surgery to enhance our features. Lip and gluteus maximus injections, have you weighed the benefits (there are none)? What about the breast implants, leakage, bursting solutions flowing through your body because you wanted larger breasts? Why can't we accept what God blessed us with? People are experiencing detrimental repercussions because they wanted lips, booties, and tits, because society says this is true beauty. If you purchased or enhanced your temple, it's synthetic people.

We have Cover Girl or Maybelline recruiting women convincing them that women must wear makeup. If the good Lord felt we needed lipstick or a makeover, He's so miraculous; women would have been born with colorful lips. Beauty comes in all shapes and sizes, yet we have young girls to adult women afraid to enjoy three meals a day because society has insulted them by calling them fat. The consequences are anorexia and bulimia. Women must reclaim natural beauty. There are women who refuse to go into the public without makeup on. That is low self esteem ladies. We must win the hearts of society, comrades, boyfriends, and spouses with our true features. They must pass the test of loving our natural hair, eye color, A cup breasts, and for those who are size 12 and beyond, as long as your weight isn't unhealthy, love yourselves and do not let society dictate your waistline. When a woman glorifies herself it should be to feel good from within. But we must feel equally beautiful without the cosmetics and other add ons. Some women are obsessed with beauty because society has brain washed them into believing that physical features represent their souls. Well pretty women, on judgment day, Jesus will only judge you based on a righteous pure heart. He will not be standing there measuring your breasts or waistline. His servants and angels come in all colors, shapes, and sizes. So remember beauty is truly only skin deep. Hallelujah.
