Players of Webkinz, an online virtual world where members of all ages adopt for pets and play fun games, are familiar with a grumpy dog named Arte and might wonder what it takes to become "Arte's Helpers." Arte owns the Webkinz Curio Shop. He's the shopkeeper with an attitude-but he's got the goods to back it up. In addition to offering players daily access to his gem mines, Arte peddles rare items that are only available in his Curio Shop. A player can earn an Arte's Helper status by visiting the curio shop and getting the grumpy shopkeeper to warm up to them.

What is an "Arte's Helpers?"

Being an Arte's Helper simply means that he'll tell you when the rare items will appear in the curio shop and tell you of upcoming sales. Without being an Arte's Helper, you'll have to check the curio shop hourly to find the rare items. Although it's an easy task to check the curio shop, it's time consuming. After all, who has time to check the curio shop every hour? On some days, your quest may be futile; occasionaly Arte doesn't even sell rare items!

How to I become an Arte's Helper on Webkinz?

Although the process to becoming an Arte's Helper on Webkinz can take a while, it's pretty easy. There are three ways to become an Arte's Helper-use all of these methods daily to become an Arte's Helper the quickest:
Visit the Curio Shop daily. Only your first visit counts-subsequent visits do not count toward raising your status.
Buy something from the curio shop every day. It can be anything! Again, only your first purchased item counts.
Tip Arte $100. You can only tip Arte once per day. If you're short on KinzCash, you can tip a lesser amount.

How do I know if I am making progress to become an Arte's Helper?

Arte changes his greeting when you walk in the shop. The greeting alerts you to your curio shop status. There are seven levels of greetings. These are:

Greeting Level 1: This is where new players start. Arte tells you how the curio shop functions. After your first visit, you're immediately upgraded to Level 2.
Greeting Level 2: "Welcome to the Curio Shop. Hope you find what your looking for."
Greeting Level 3: "Welcome back. See if you can find a bargain today."
Greeting Level 4: "Hey, welcome back. If you see something you like, let me know."
Greeting Level 5: "Good to see you again. Have fun shopping."
Greeting Level 6: "Ahh, one of my favorite customers. Let's see what I can do for you."
Greeting Level 7: "There you are! Always great to see you--my shop is your shop."

Once you hear the Level 7 greeting, you're an Arte's Helper. Now, when you visit the curio shop, Arte holds up a sign telling you when the rare item will appear.

Can I get removed as an Arte's Helper?

Yes, your status as an Arte's Helper can be compromised if you stop visiting the curio shop. Even when you reach this level, you must continue visiting his shop.
