Bed Head Hair Styling Stick by Tigi: Product Review

Robert Borden
I'll be the first to admit that my hair has always been a little bit difficult to manage. I have very fine hair so I have to find styling products that will make my hair feel thicker, but they can't be too pasty otherwise my hair will be left feeling dirty and greasy. I prefer to wear my hair a little bit "messed up" as is common with a lot of young men these days. I was never really happy with any of the hair styling products that I found--some would smell to feminine, and most didn't give me the volume and hold I was looking for.

I mentioned my problem finding a quality hair styling product with my stylist one day, and she recommended that I try something called Bed Head manufactured by the Tigi Company. The product came in a stick, and almost reminded me of a giant lip balm because of how it was shaped and the way it pushed up from the tube. The Bed Head Styling Stick said it could give me that "fresh out of bed look" all day long, which is what I was ultimately looking for, so I decided to give it a try.

The next day, after I got out of the shower and used a blow dryer to dry my hair, I took the Bed Head stick and cautiously applied it to my hair. It was funny to watch, because as I pushed the Bed Head around it was sort of giving me cute little cowlicks. The Bed Head Stick was wax based, so I had to be careful not to apply to much to my hair or else it would get greasy. After applying the Bed Head Stick directly to my hair, I was able to move the product around with my fingers to achieve that perfect, slightly messy look. The Bed Head Styling Stick kept my hair looking cute all night long, so the product clearly has staying power.

At $14.99 for a single stick, Bed Head is more expensive than styling products that you can find at Wal-Mart or in the drugstore, but I believe Bed Head by Tigi is worth the extra money. Putting a styling product in stick form gives you lots of creative hair styling options, and the product kept on working long after applying it. You will need to wash your hair the day after using Bed Head to avoid a greasy look, but since most people take a shower every day that shouldn't be a problem.
