Bedroom Painting Ideas for Any Bedroom

Change the look of your bedroom and spend very little money by changing the walls. Thinking of the walls is often last when thinking about décor but the biggest impact can come from changing the walls. Paint is also much cheaper to purchase than furniture, lighting, even comforters. Use these bedroom painting ideas to create a new look and feel in your bedroom or the bedrooms of your children.

Ask the person whose room it is what they would like to see before you buy the paint. This is especially important if the room is shared between two or more people. Men may want a more subtle look while children may be willing to go even bolder than you would think.

Bedroom Painting Ideas for Girls

Create a room a little girl will love by painting large butterflies or flowers on the wall. Scatter these around the room unless there is no headboard. If there is not a headboard then create the illusion of one by painting a large sunflower behind her bed. Use bright fun colors or soothing pastels depending on what the girl likes most. Take one wall and paint a giant rainbow.

Bedroom Painting Ideas for Boys

Paint boy's rooms in bright colors like blue or green. Use the paint to create sports paraphernalia on the wall such as baseball bats or basketballs or paint words such as run, jump, and play. Make the walls look like the room is inside a castle by painting them to look like large stones and paint swords and shields above the bed.

Bedroom Painting Ideas for Teenagers

Teenagers spend so much time in their room, it is important they enjoy it. Let them paint it how they want. Teenage boys may enjoy a graffiti look on one wall or geometric shapes like triangles and squares. Paint large circles for teenage girl's rooms or let them pick their favorite quote and paint it on the wall.

Bedroom Painting Ideas for Master Bedrooms

Choose one wall in the room and paint it a different shade than the rest of the room. Particularly if you do not have a headboard, paint the wall behind the bed different to accentuate the bed. For cheap picture frames paint a square on the wall and place a poster inside it. Paint stripes in faintly different shades to create a slight texture to the walls.

People spend a great deal of time in their bedrooms and should enjoy the experience. Instead of purchasing a new bedspread, make a big change with these bedroom painting ideas.
