Beer Company Rebates Help Consumers Save on Groceries

Are You Cruising Down the Right Aisles in the Grocery Store?

Carly Hart
Who doesn't love free money? Were you aware that beer companies offer rebates on grocery items that you purchase every day? Better yet, consumers do not always have to purchase alcohol in order to cash in on the rebate.

Summer months generally bring out an abundance of summer grilling rebates, offering consumer rebates on meat, grilling supplies, coolers, beach towels and other summer related items. Winter months bring rebates on turkey, ham and Super Bowl snacks. Provided that the consumer meets the terms of the rebate, it is cash back in their pocket, which can be a substantial savings on groceries.

Beer Company Rebates: Where to Look.

Grocery stores: If your state is one where beer and wine are sold in grocery stores, be sure to steer your cart to the beer and wine aisles and take a look around for tear pad beer company rebate forms. These are generally placed in stores by company representatives to entice consumers to buy their products.

Convenience stores: Aside from gassing up and stopping in for a quick drink while you are on the road, cruising past beer displays in convenience stores can reap refund opportunities. In my experience, convenience store beer company rebates are not always the same as those placed in grocery stores. When gas prices were higher, I would often find rebates off gas purchases.

Walmart: Walmart may have great prices, but it may also be home to beer company rebates that can help you save money on your groceries. Similar to those placed in grocery stores, Walmarts (and in particular, Super Walmarts) can sometimes have rebates attached to their displays or with products in the beer aisle. In some states where a beer purchase is necessary, shopping at a Walmart can be a good option, especially if all items have to be purchased on one receipt. In the past, I have seen partial refunds for gas grills when purchased in conjunction with beer, something that isn't easy or necessarily cheap to do at a grocery store.

Drug Stores: Drug stores are also a source for beer company rebates. Depending upon your state, you may be able to find refund forms at places like Rite Aid or CVS.

Which Companies Typically Offer Rebates?

Major companies such as Coors, Miller and Heineken typically offer rebates, as does Budweiser. If you want to get a feel for what type of refunds are out there, do a search for "beer rebates" on eBay.

How Much Can You Save?

While there are some rebates that are less than $5, most are not. In the past, I have saved $10 off $10 of certain purchases, essentially making them free. I have also saved $10 off a $20 purchase of meat, which, when coupled with a sale, is fantastic savings.
