Some people pair beer and fireworks. I have no problem with this, especially if one is observing a display. One can get a bang out of the experience; the oohs and aahs are endless.
Packing in a six pack - and packing out the empties - never hurt anyone. Better yet, go green and use a refillable growler.
However, if you're thinking of pairing beer and setting off the fireworks yourself, you may be the next contestant on American Idiot.
Truly, I have one word for you: Fool.
This time of year emergency rooms are littered with lunkheads who drunkenly played with fireworks. With a possible loss of limb or life, you're a burden on an already-faltering health care industry if you light them when you're lit.
Watch the show and listen to the rhythm and booms. Be safe when pairing beer and fireworks; don't let your independence holiday be a bust.
