Diner Dash 2: Tips and Hints

Beginners Guide to Diner Dash: 2 - #1 Podium

Just like the first Diner Dash you can use the podium again to keep your guests happy while you serve the seated customers. You can use the Diner Dash podium just to keep people in line from leaving or you can form a strategy to get higher points.

Beginners Guide to Diner Dash: 2 - #2 Match Outfits and Chairs Again

This part of the game also returned in Diner Dash 2. You match the customers clothing to the same color chair for a big bonus. Do this several times to the same chair and there will be a multiplier that goes up to x4.

Beginners Guide to Diner Dash: 2 - #3 Create Chains

Creating long chains by seating, serving, clearing dirty dishes and more is still the best way to earn a whole lot of money. This is also the best way to receive that great expert score.

Beginners Guide to Diner Dash: 2 - #4 Snacks

Later on in Diner Dash 2 you will finally get to serve snacks to your guests. Keep them happy and after every meal you will be asked to serve a snack. This is great because it adds another bonus to your total. Be careful though, because snacks are the easiest way to have a chain broken.

Beginners Guide to Diner Dash: 2 - #5 New Characters Added

Diner Dash 2 has old faces that you will remember from the first game but they have also added a few new customers to keep things interesting.

Bookworms - Not the best tipper in Diner Dash 2 but Bookworms are patient and slow and are great to group with seniors. They dislike noise and their heart meter will drop will quickly if they are seated next cell phone addicts or crying babies.

Cell Phones Addicts - In Diner Dash 2 the best tippers are the ones attached to their cell phones. They are constantly talking and will annoy everyone but the joggers, families and other cell phone addicts. These addicts are also very impatient.

Joggers - Use joggers as a buffer between noisy customers and quiet customers. They have on headphones so they don't hear the noise plus they themselves are quiet. Joggers are ok tippers and move at a medium pace.

Families - The first thing to do after seating a family is to quickly get a high chair for the baby. You will know that you forgot to do that when the baby starts screaming. If this happens they will annoy the customers next to them unless the customers are joggers, cell phones addicts or other families. Babies also knock over drinks so you will have to go grab a mob to clean up before the family will continue what they were doing. Families also move at a medium pace.

The hotshots, boys and food critic are not in Diner Dash 2.

Beginners Guide to Diner Dash: 2 - #5 New Items to Unlock

In Diner Dash 2 you have some of the old items to unlock but they have also added some new items to the game.

Snacks: Once snacks are available your customers will begin to request it if they are happy

Mop: Families will frequently knock over liquids that you need to mop up

Podium: The podium is a must have for later levels as it allows you to keep people in line happy and strategize

Bench: If a customer is getting impatient you can easily sit them on the bench for a happiness boost

Phone: A great new feature is the telephone that allows you to call in a busboy to clean the tables, a bartender who will serve drinks, a hostess who stands at the podium and a performer who will keep the seated customers happy

Drinks: A great way to boost the happiness of the seated customers is to serve them a drink

Dessert: Deserts are ordered by happy customers and it gives you a bonus

Highchairs: You must get a highchair for the babies to keep them from crying
