The sooner you start to exercise the more benefits you will enjoy. Remember to start slowly since getting in to shape should never be a game a "catch up".

As your stomach starts to grow with your baby, you will find that the stronger lower back muscles will start to feel strained. Having good posture will help you reduce your chances of a backache. Since your center of gravity will be shifting slightly you will want to get all the help you can get. To avoid injury make sure you ask for help so you do not strain yourself. Try to remember to always bend with your knees; this will also help you cut down on back pain. Increased muscular strength will help you reduce your chances of hurting your joints. You will want to work on your upper body strength, and lower back strength. This will help prepare you to carry the baby's weight around with you.

Exercising in a comfortable environment will help you reduce stress. You may be feeling a little down and out from the weight may gain while pregnant. This will help you feel healthier and improve your self-image. It will greatly reduce you anxiety about your body's image. It will decrease the pregnancy related symptoms like hemorrhoids, varicosities, constipation, gas, swelling, nausea, headaches, crams, depression, fatigue and gas.

Experts agree that babies of mothers who exercised during pregnancy have less complicated births and are more alert to their environment and are at a healthier body weight. Getting into the habit of a regular fitness routine also helps the mother regain her pre-pregnancy weight faster then those who did not exercise at all. Talk to your doctor about what you are planning to do since not all exercises are safe to do during pregnancy. Changes to your fitness routine guidelines will be added at every trimester since your body will be changing as well. If you are put on bed rest, you will need to take a break from your fitness routine. Talk to your doctor about any concerns about working out contact them immediately if any problems arise such as bleeding or fluids leaking.
