Beginning

Charisse Van Horn
This poem looks at life and death and what comes next

Beginning

There was no me

Before I was conceived

Only those who walked before me

And though I believe

In everlasting and everlasting

What if we were to simply vanish

To the same place we were

Before we existed

How sorrowful it would be

If there were no everlasting and everlasting

And every man only had

The here and now

For time

Runs short

and sorrow is great

therefore

I believe

That all that is around me

Is only

The beginning

I enjoy your your view point which seems to shatter superstitions and get right to the point. I also love reading about views on death, and I recently wrote a piece on it, "Drown", so please check it out if you getta chance. =-)
