Behr Paint: Alluring Blue
Because the walls took so much primer, I over-estimated how much interior Behr paint I needed to paint my son's room. I bought two gallons instead of one gallon. One gallon of Behr interior paint at the local Home Depot costs about $23. The $23 was for Flat Enamel, which is one type recommended for a child's room. It is slightly more expensive than regular flat paint, but cheaper than Eggshell Enamel.
After a painted the room using only three quarters of the can of Behr paint, I realized that I would have an extra can of paint. The color scheme for the rest of the house did not include another room this color. Even if I painted the loft are the same Behr Alluring Blue, I would not need to open the second can.
Behr Paint: No Modifications
I called Behr Process Corporation to find out if I could bring the Behr paint back to Home Depot an have the color modified. I could see that this blue, wtih some additional Thalo green might get me toe Quiet Moment blue I was looking for in another room.
The two Behr paint colors had similar numbers and are next to each other on the color chart. It seemed like a reasonable request.
Behr Paint Customer Service
The Behr Paint Certified Coatings Professional who spoke with me on the phone advised me the paint could be returned. I let him know that the color label Home Depot gave me read, "Non returnable" because the color was already mixed in. I didn't want to bring it back, I love the Behr paint. I just wanted to correct my mistake of overbuying.
He also advised me that the color could not be modified. Before I could shrug my shoulders and get a little disappointed that I had just wasted part of my tight painting budget, the Behr Paint Certified Coatings Professional kindly offered me something I had not expected: a refund on the cost of the paint.
He took down my name and address and gave me the mailing address for the company, complete with his name and a file number. All I had to do was mail in my original receipt to that address to receive a full refund within two or three weeks. I did make a copy of the receipt since I needed it for my own records.
The process of correcting my mistake was made incredibly smooth by the Behr paints customer service department, and by the Behr Paint Certified Coatings Professional. From the quick answering of the phone to their easy to navigate menu, the company is run as smoothly as their paint goes on the walls. Spending a couple of extra dollars on the Behr paint, insated of the the Pittsbuurgh Paint or Ace Paint was definitely worth it.

Post a CommentI purchased a gallon of Behr Premium Plus Ultra Exterior paint. Every year I have to repaint because the paint blisters and starts to peal. Today I went back and got another gallon of FLAT Exterior to replace the existing paint. I have my receipt and Home Depot said that Behr would refund my money with a receipt. Please call me and tell me what I have to do. 480-540-7395. Thank You
I purchased 5 gallons of Behr 2 part epoxy paint for my garage floor. I painted about a month ago, I left my vehicles out for over 3 days and now I have noticed paint has come up under the tires where the vehicles park. Also I noticed that where my truck air conditioner defrosts onto the floor it has also came up. I paid almost $80 a gallon and I spent it because I trust Behr. I feel that there should be some compensatiion for the paint I used. It would probably work if I added another couple of coats on top and cured for a week before using. Is there anyway you can help me out on this? I like the way it looks and was excited because any spills wipe right up. How well will you stand behind this paint?

i recentky bought 12 gallons of redwood stain for my house. i am happy with the product but dissappointed i had to buy individual gallons that cost me at least another 50 dollars as opposed to 5 gallon containers. money is tight and i dont understand why your other products are available like that but not the redwood 3330 stain. to make matters worse when im buying gallon 12 i asked the sales associate why they didnt have ,them and she tells me she didnt know. she then informs me that if i was interested in saving 20% they were having a sale that weekend. good product but dont have the extra 50 to waste like that.
Did you try going back to, or even calling the paint desk at your Home Depot? At my store we would have gladly retinted your paint for you, unless it was already holding the maximum amount of colorant for your particular base paint. While it is unlikely that transforming your color would have been as easy as just adding a little Thalo Green, there are multiple willing and able people at my store who would have worked with you to get as close as possible to your desired outcome. I'm glad that Behr customer service took care of you though!
wanted you to know your Behr paint with primer is an excellant product. I manufacture outdoor birdhouses that are painted and have left them out in -20 degrees and snow and they still look like new. Great product and great color selection
Good to know Behr has great customer service to back up their products! I recently used Behr paint for a living room and bathroom, with excellent results. Made the mistake of buying Ace paint for a bedroom. Horrible coverage and hard to work with.

I I bought the Premium Deck coating and I have had to redo the deck each year (3) since then. AI can send you pictures. It just doesn't stay uniform in color but bleaches out or chips in splotches. I bought your best deck paint.
What do I do? Each new coat costs me over $300 to have applied. The wood was treated and new for the first coat.
I have completed two rooms in my house with your paint it took 3 coates to get the paint roller markings out. That is absolutely not acceptable. I went back to Home Depot told them of my problem they told me to purchase a gallon of under coating I did that, guess what three coates. I have better things to do with my time than paint my walls three times.

Thomas - I used it in another room and for the closets. I still have some left if we ever want to paint the furniture.
