Beijing 2008 Opening Ceremonies

A Legendary Spectacle

SB
The world is astounded on the legendary spectacle of the Opening Ceremonies of the Beijing Olympics 2008.

The Ceremonies were held in Beijing National Stadium, also known as Bird's Nest took three hours and a half (31/2) in bringing entertainment and spectacles at its best, where almost audiences are in tears, as the host country show the world 5,000 years of Chinese history.

China really worked hard to show the world their worth, power and influence in the Olympics.

They have vested so much hope into this event, so much heart, so much effort and so much money. From today's date alone, of August 8, 2008 symbolizes prosperity for the Chinese people.

From the breath taking four production numbers, stunning innovations of Chinese talents, amazing fireworks to the conclusion of the spectacular when former China gymnast champ, Li Ning was hoisted to the roof of the Bird's Nest Stadium to light the Giant Olympic flame, we all can say, that China just did it! And, they did it amazingly!

But, for me, what is more amazing is for this country to have come up with something so rare, so beautiful as they show the world that they recovered as one nation after the tragic Sichuan Earthquake that killed 68,636 lives, injured 374,176 and 18,340 missing, leaving 4.8 million people homeless.

The only aftermath that this highly controversial Beijing torch journey might cause, is for the organizers of the London 2012 to work harder and come up with something better than what is now considered to be as China's best.
