You are a loving caretaker. In addition to being affectionate about your children, you treat them with a lot of love.
It is important to be caring. You need to care about your kids' welfare, be concerned about what they do and be caring in everything you do for them.
You must be instructive. They need for you to teach them right from wrong, teach them the "birds and bees" and teach them how to do things.
Knowing how to apologize is an important skill. If you know you have messed up, you should not hesitate to admit wrongdoing and apologize to your children.
You should not shy away from being empathetic as a parent. There will be times when the little ones in your care need you to put yourself in their shoes to get a better understanding of why they just did what they did.
You must show them trust. Unless they have shown otherwise, you must show you trust them to do the right thing and not watch their every move.
It is obligatory to learn from the mistakes you make with raising your sons and daughters. You must make sure you do not repeat your mistakes.
You must be a good role model and demonstrate model conduct. Your kids need you to be the ideal person to look up to.
You must sacrifice for them. If you must work an extra job in order to fully provide for them, do it. You will sometimes need to put aside the time you wish to reserve for yourself to be available for them and maybe drive them where they need to go.
Having patience with them is crucial. They need for you to realize they are not perfect while remembering some of the sins you made when you were their age.
You must always use your head and think rationally. You should take your time in reacting to your children's actions and not be too eager to hit them.
Follow these steps to be a good parent!
