Being a Blessing to Others

We are here on this earth to help other people, and sometimes we get so caught up in ourselves until we forget our purpose. Being a blessing to someone else does not always have to be something monetary. We all know someone who is lonely or maybe they're going through something major in their life right now. What would it cost us, to just take some time out of our busy schedule to go and spend the day with this person. We may never know how much a simple phone call or someone stopping by just to say hello may mean to someone who may be elderly and can't get out much.

We all mean well and want to do good by everyone, but when is the last time that we even thought about doing something nice for someone else. Did you know that every decision that you make in life good or bad is a seed that you sow? With this in mind we must learn to sow good seeds, because we never know what the future may hold for our lives, one day we may be that person who's lonely and no ever calls or stops by, or that elderly person who can't ever get someone to assist them in their day to day needs.

There are several things that we could do to be a blessing to others. We could volunteer a few hours a week at a hospital or nursing home. We could help feed the homeless at our local shelters or soup kitchens or get involved in some mission activities through our local church. Sometimes we would rather give money, than have to take some of our precious time to help someone out. Take a day to be kind to someone else, you will be amazed at how much joy that you will get from being a blessing to someone else. Always remember, whatever we sow now is what we will reap in the future. BE A BLESSING TO SOMEONE TODAY!
