Yes, I was rebellious as a teen. I got into lots of trouble. I got tired of going to church every time the doors were opened. Sometimes, I rebelled and wouldn't even go in. I would just sit in the car and wait. Now I look back and I am very sorry about that. How it made my parents feel and more so, how it made God feel. God is what matters most.
I believe and I know that God is real. Just as satan is real. Both God and satan want us. It is our choice who we choose. God has blessed me in so many ways. I am unworthy of His love. Jesus died on the cross for everyone. I couldn't live without knowing the Lord. I couldn't live if I could not pray. I know that He hears me. I don't know how people can live without Jesus.
How can you say there is no God when you look around at the beauty of earth and the sky above? How can you say there is no God when you look at the human body? How can you say there is no God when you give birth to a beautiful baby? I accepted Jesus when I was 10. I did stray away and do things I should not of done when I was older. I knew the things I did were wrong. I asked Jesus to forgive me and I am stronger than ever. Jesus forgives us, that is why He died on the cross. We just have to accept Him into our lives. Time on earth is a vapor. But Jesus is eternal. My riches are in Heaven. Without Him, I am nothing. God answers my prayers. He always provides for me. My Christian friends and I pray for each other. I thank God for my Christian friends and family.
My youngest brother is a detective. He started COPS - Cops out preaching salvation. He goes around the country with some other Christian cops and they minister to the men on death row and the men and women in prison. You can find his link on Facebook or google it.
I even pray for people I see on the news who have had some tragedy in their life. I pray for the pain and grief. I pray every day for all the children and animals who suffer as well as for anyone who suffers. Because of sin, these things happen. But I know that I have a future in heaven with all those who have gone before me. That day will come soon. There will be no more pain, no more suffering, no more tears. Sure, we all have the strong sense of living our lives out. God put that in is. But one day, for all those who believe and accept Jesus as their personal Savior, we have a future beyond our understanding.
I saw a woman on the news who said she didn't believe in God and that she was an atheist. I began to pray for her that someday she will come to know the Lord Jesus and believe in Him.
There is power in prayer and I have seen it for myself. Sure, bad things happen to everyone, whether your a Christian or not. But at least I know I can get through them being a Christian.
When I see a rainbow or a beautiful sunset I thank the Lord for it. It brings beauty to my eyes. When I am at the ocean and I see its mighty power and strength I know that it is God who made it. When I see the moon so full and lit, I know and I believe that it could only be because God made it.
My mother in law who has gone to be with the Lord, suffered alot in her life, but she never lost her faith. back in 1947 her first born daughter died suddenly at home at the age of 7 while she was preparing dinner. Later in life she suffered 5 strokes and was paralyzed. She could not walk but she never lost her faith and love for Jesus. She was a humble and loving woman who never said a bad thing about anyone. My nephew who also went to be with the Lord in 2009, was born with muscular dystrophy. He got cheated in life. He was 10 days short of being 15. He never got to ride a bike or walk like other kids, but he was smart and he was cheerful and he accepted his condition. He was brave and now he is with the Lord and his granddaddy and all those who have gone before him.
So being a Christian doesn't mean bad things won't happen to you. Life is hard. But without Him, I couldn't live one day! I thank the Lord everyday for all His blessings!
