First you will need to pick up your basic supplies if you don't already have them. Here is a list of materials you may need.
Colored cardboard paper
Glue
Markers or colored pens
Glitter
Pictures of loved one
Lace, ribbon, etc.
Newspapers or magazines
Scissors
Your imagination
Now that you've got all your supplies and are feeling creative and focused on your hearts desire and are ready to get to business lets start.
First you want to decide how big you want the card to be and what colors to use initially. cut the cardboard paper to size. I would go with about 6"x8" if you want something big and noticeable.
Next i would cut a heart out of a different color of paper and center it and glue it on your rectangle card.
Now find your favorite picture of you and your valentine and cut it into a heart shape as well and glue it onto the cardboard heart making sure its centered and proportionate.
Than you want to spice it up a bit so you want to take some lace or ribbon or something creative as an extra and glue it down around the picture in a heart shape layered on top of the first cardboard heart as a border. should really be looking cute at this point.
Next you want to get your magazines and find and cut out words that describe what you want to say i.e "I love you," "My valentine," etc. Glue these words around the card randomly but make sure the message is very clear.
Almost finished and you should be feeling really good about this project. To finish your special card off you just need to sprinkle some glitter around the whole thing to get that sparkle you know you both feel your hearts.
Finally just decorate the outside of the card with another heart and a couple square pieces that have a to and from with your names.
Now you have a unique gift that will mean the world to your valentine because of how cute it is and how much thought you put into it for them. Well its your choice whether you just give it to them or do something even more special. If you want to make the night even more memorable than try sprinkling some rose peddles around and light some candles and give your special someone the card after a nice romantic kiss and see if that doesn't melt their heart
