Being Thankful for What You Have
Thank you for a roof over our heads,With water, heat, and a comfortable bed.
Thank you for food in the cupboard to keep us alive,And ensure that we won't have to eat in some dive.
Thank you for the clothes on our backs,Even if we have to buy them off the clearance racks.
Thank you for the cars we drive,So we don't have to walk home in the dark at five.
Thank you for jobs and money,What the heck, we are broke again honey.
Thank you for time spent with family, friends and loved ones,Especially when they all pitch in to get things done.
Thank you for our children who can cause us to have fear, laughter and tears.
Here is to Happy Holidays spent with family, friends and loved ones enjoy these special times.Remember in these hard times it is not how much you give or have, but being thankful for all the things you do have and the things you can give like your time, hugs and kind words.
