Thessalonians 5:18 tells us to always be thankful to God, saying "In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you."
Recently, I was driving home when my car started making a strange noise. It then began to strongly vibrate. When I pulled over to the side of the road, I discovered that my car had a flat tire.
I immediately stopped to give thanks to God. Although a flat tire was inconvenient and annoying, I was thankful to God that my car did not have a more serious problem. Seconds later a gentleman pulled up behind me and offered to change my tire. Again, I give thanks to God. My tire was changed and I drove to an auto repair shop to have the tire fixed, the whole time being thankful to God for this minor inconvenience.
Another Bible verse that tells us to give thanks to God is Ephesians 5:20 which says: "Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;"
Many people do not appreciate the things that God has given them and are constantly complaining about the difficulties in their lives. Instead, take the advice offered in the Bible and you will become a happier person by being thankful to God.

Post a CommentI really enjoyed reading this. So true and to the point. It's amazing how often we forget to thank God, even for the good things in our lives. And you know what? The more we get into thanking God, the more things we'll find to be thankful for!
:)
A great reminder! Excellent narrative on your thankfulness.
Well said Sunshine...I believe one of our greatest sins is the sin of ingratitude. I thank God for you by the way. Outstanding and so true to the mark.
Love this... :o)
Although times are bad for many of us now. I still thank God everyday for the many good things we have already been blessed with.
I hope you thanked the man who changed your tire, he did the work!
Beautifully stated! We have a friend who has been out-of-work for almost a year. He finally landed an interview but just found out today that he wasn't selected. I thought he'd be heartbroken - but I was encouraged to hear him say, "I'm trusting and thanking God - something better will come along." Yes, Sunshine, we must believe that our Heavenly "Dad" has our best interests in His Plan and thank Him for every little thing. cheers ;)
Great reminder about being thankful.
Good way to look at challenges:)
