Aiewa School of Cultural Dances
This school was founded in 2002 by Christina Bates, who now directs Aiewa Dance Company. Christina has especially been captured by Middle Eastern belly dancing, to the point where she studied as a dedicated student and become an inspired teacher and performer. She has performed in Canada, USA, Central America, Europe, and North Africa. There are three other teachers who are known as Ursula, Lara, and Christine. The special thing about this school is that Aiewa believes in giving their student every opportunity to perform and hosts student nights, produce dance programs, dances at retirement homes and private parties. This school even provides classes for children! Aiewa School for Cultural Dances trains students in five locations weekly in Victoria, British Columbia.
