Ok, let's admit it girls, most of us wish our belly could be a bit flatter. I know I sure have! I recently discovered a program called BellyFit that is located in Victoria, British Columbia. It's too bad that I don't live there anymore because this program sounds fabulous!

BellyFit is a hour long class for women only. BellyFit is strongly influenced by Belly Dancing, Pilates, and Yoga. By working out at BellyFit you get a great full body cardio workout, a sculpted belly and waist line, stronger thighs and glutes, better balance, focus and coordination, taller posture, strong mind-body connection, greater self esteem, and a whole lot of fun and fulfillment!

BellyFit moves the body, mind and spirit, and is specifically designed for the female body, and is very fluid, sensual and graceful, but is powerful at the same time. Many women report that it is an excellent workout, which is challenging and inspiring, and be prepared to sweat a lot! In addition, BellyFit can help prepare you for childbirth, and help you get your belly back after giving birth. BellyFit is for women of all ages, sizes, and levels of fitness.

BellyFit classes are available on Mondays to Saturdays, and are located at various places in Victoria, British Columbia. Make sure to call and register for the classes as soon as you can as the classes can fill up quite quickly. BellyFit also does workshops as well, and ask you to contact them for further information on workshops that will be available in the future.

The creator of BellyFit is Alice Bracegirdle, who still instructs BellyFit students to this very day. Alice grew up doing Ballet, Jazz, Belly Dance, Competive Step Dance, Rave, and Hip Hop. As an adult she has instructed Fire Dancing [Poi], and Professional Belly Dancing. Also there is an additional instructor who is Ursula Stansfield. Ursula is well known at Aiewa School of Cultural Dances as an instructor, and has recently started to instruct at BellyFit as well.

There are videos full of interviews, clips of BellyFit moves, and even a thirty-five minutes long instructional video on cardio and stretch!
