Belmont Stakes Odds Updated for 2010 Race, Post Positions Same

Ryan Christopher DeVault
2010 Belmont Stakes odds have been updated for this year's race. The 2010 Belmont Stakes odds now have Ice Box (post position No. 6) as a 2-1 favorite, meaning that the horse is thought to be even more likely to win the 2010 race than when the post positions were revealed. Behind Ice Box in the field is Fly Down at 5-1 odds now, and then First Dude at 11-2 odds. The biggest long shot to win the 2010 Belmont Stakes is now Stay Put, way over in post position No. 10, and given odds of 25-1 to win the race. Spangled Star is not far behind that at 22-1 odds to win the race.

The 2010 Belmont Stakes seems more wide open than the first two Triple Crown races this season, especially considering that the winners from the 2010 Kentucky Derby and 2010 Preakness Stakes races aren't in the field. Ice Box is now an even clearer favorite than when the odds were first released this week though, and it is becoming a pretty safe bet if you are to believe all of the sports books predicting this victory. The 2010 Belmont Stakes is the 142nd running of the race, and the race has a schedule time of about 3:32 p.m. PST (6:32 p.m. EST) on Saturday, June 5th. It will be aired on ABC Sports for fans to check out as well.
