A magnificent tree jutting
up through the marsh land and mud,
pushing aside muck and
swamp to make way for its
eruption into the world
My mother said to me
that there is as much of
a tree below the ground
as above -
in respect to them, in us
there is usually more inside
than what we show outside,
and yet -
it's the inside, the below
ground that is the most
beautiful!
