Beneath My Prayers..
Under my skin,
I find a little girl,
curly hair wrapped
around her arms,
fire
coming out of her voice,
her burning desire
to be loved.

Mommy, mommy
"Mommy's not here sweetheart,
but I'm here to hug you
and cover your
chubby cheeks with kisses," I said.
Mommy, mommy
Her lungs move rapidly up and down,
her blood rushes to her head
as she gasps for air,
and the rest of her body
in flames.
I dig a hole in my backyard
and burry her ashes.
I'll never hear her
trembling voice again...
I'm free.
