Some people believe that a 3-day juice fasting per month is a way to increase your health and quality of life since this three-days-per-month juice fasting regime allows your tissues and cells to cleanse, nourish and heal themselves. But what is Juice Fasting?

As its name implies, Juice Fasting is a procedure in which you take fruit (and vegetables) juice for a period of time. It can be a day, a week or a month. You choose it. But a 3-day juice fatsing is what many people follow through their life time as a means to cleanse their bodies.

Proponents of juice fasting say that there are many benefits to it. For example, they claim that Juice fasting can have the following specific benefits:

*Reduce or eliminate chronic sinus and mucus congestion

*Reduce or eliminate bowel low transits or constipation
*Help with chronic bronchitis
*Help with allergies

A recent study, published in the journal Research in Complementary and Classical Natural Medicine, claims that after 8 days of following a juice fasting regime there were significant changes in blood parameters such as cholesterol, insulin, and other blood proteins. Total cholesterol decreased by 9% after 8 days. After one week of regular eating all parameters measured returned to normal values.
