Benefits of Joining a Big Church

Looking for a new church? Consider being part of one that has at least 10,000 people. There are several benefits to joining a big church that can improve the quality of your life and make going to service more fun.

Benefit #1: More ministries. Want to put your child into a good youth ministry? Female and need help getting over a broken marriage? Trying to revamp your life after struggling with a drug addiction? Attend a big church. They usually offer a wide-range of ministries that help address every area of your life. You can get specialized care for free or for less than the cost of going to a professional.

Benefit #2: Better technology. Lights, camera, action - this is the kind of technology you'll receive by joining a big church. This spiritual place improves on its gadgets and equipment as the congregation grows. As a consequence, you are able to download your pastor's message off of iTunes with an iPod or watch "live" online through the Internet.

Benefit #3: Diverse demographics. Searching for a place of worship that reflects the demographics of America? Visit a big church. They often serve people of varying socio-economic levels. For this reason, the congregation looks like a melting pot and not just one blob of color. Also, you get the opportunity to mingle with another Christian who might have a different perspective on life because of his unique background.

Benefit #4: Popular recording artists. One of the more entertaining plusses of joining a big church is the talent. Popular, recording artists and celebrities often use them as way to recharge and stay down-to-earth. So, on any given Sunday, you can meet a famous person or get a free concert from a well-known gospel/Christian artist. If you're lucky, you might end up as one of their friends and find out how much a-like people are regardless of their level of notoriety.

Benefit #5: Non-traditional speakers. Wish you could hear a sermon from an English or Nairobi preacher? Join a big church. You not only get to hear from the main man, but a plethora of other speakers. Since the leaders of large churches are typically known across the globe, foreign speakers and others outside of your local area desire to come and speak. This allows you to get a sample of an olio of messages from people all over the world.

See why so many people go to mega-churches? Check out one of these places today and find out for yourself how good the Lord can be.
