There have been a lot of famous women martial artists, which has caused more women to take a serious look at karate. Women can benefit a lot from studying karate. One of the biggest battles that most women face is losing weight. Women have tried everything from dieting to commercial products to try to get the bulge down. The martial arts can help drop the weight that you are trying to lose fast. The reason why karate drops weight so fast is because it employs every part of your body. Karate has so many twist and turns that it works every inch of your body. Karate also gets your heart rate up so that you can quickly burn off that unwanted fat. The martial arts not only burns fat, but it also strengthens your muscles. The reason why your muscles become stronger is because of the repetition of the kicks. Karate is a great way to substitute that old boring workout routine.

Most attackers love it when women are alone. Women are the easiest pray for a mugger or rapist. Most instructors know the exact spot to hit so that a woman can cause major harm to the person that is attacking her. I feel that all women should study the martial arts for this very reason alone.

Most women have very busy and stressful lives. They do everything from working to taking care of the kids to getting dinner ready for the night. All of this can lead to a very stressful day. Women can relieve stress by studying the martial arts. There is nothing like working up a good sweat while kicking the heavy bag. The energy that you put into throwing your kicks will help you relieve the stress of the day.
