Benefits of PayPal

Greg Seltz
The current version of PayPal, created in the year 2000, is easily becoming one of the most convenient and secure methods of conducting e-commerce. In today's economy, consumers are able to engage in a virtual community via the World Wide Web. Online retailers and individuals across the world may conduct business and offer specials and deals that are incomparable to costs via department stores. In an effort to increase savings, consumers seek a method of performing profitable transactions while maintaining a secure system of payment, etc. And thus, PayPal emerged.

Imagine surfing the web for the best possible deal on a new/used piece of equipment. Though manufacturers and retailers request full value on such items, a private party member on EBay offers you the deal of a lifetime. You willingly provide banking details to process payment via your VISA credit card. Two weeks later, your financial institution claims there may be fraudulent activity associated with your account. Sure enough, an investigation is initiated.....and time stands still. If you had only taken two minutes to establish a PayPal account, this situation would fail to exist. Why, you ask? PayPal is not a private party member or corrupt organization with intentions to steal your money. In fact, any unauthorized transaction will deem priority and protect your against financial loss. Though I fail to have any experience with fraudulent activity via PayPal, it appears less likely to occur.

For one, you are not linking hundreds of online retailers and distributors to your banking details. You are simply allowing PayPal to record your credentials; and if any suspected illegal activity is acknowledged, the only trace leads directly to PayPal. With PayPal, you are able to send & receive money via your bank account, or simply charge all transactions directly to your card. Not only will you still receive points via your card, but PayPal acts as a third party member to maintain security on each transaction. Receive money from online vendors by simply providing them with your email address, and the same applies if you prefer to send money. You are free to view transaction details and balances by simply logging into your account. Withdrawal? Of course! Either PayPal will send you a check, or transfer the funds directly to your bank account; whichever you prefer. Using PayPal is as simple as selecting it as your preferred payment method.

Any other questions? The link is included below, but any individual with common sense can see the benefits of using the PayPal services. Oh yea, did I mention it's free! For individuals involved with e-commerce transactions, this service is more than beneficial.
