Benefits of Power Washers

Power washers are available in a number of varieties such as diesel, gas, hydraulic, and electric power washers. These washers supply both cold as well as hot water. They have residential, commercial and industrial use.

Power washers consist of various components, like:

Hoses: These are cylindrical tubes with circular cross-section that carry water through them to the nozzles. Huge hoses are used for cleaning large surfaces with ease and without any interruption.

Nozzles: They are placed at the tip of the hoses. They do the work of restricting the flow of water. There are a variety of nozzles available with varied spray patterns. These nozzles can provide 40 degree (wide) of spray as well as 0 degree (narrow) of spray. The 0 degree nozzles can be dangerous and can cut through wood.

Injectors: These injectors are available with most of the power washers. They infuse chemicals and soap into water, which helps in better cleaning and is comparatively easier and faster.

Engines: The engines power up the washers. Power washers are so called because their engines generate a lot of power. These engines either run on gas diesel or electricity.

Belt drive: Most of the washers are belt driven. They consist of a pulley and belt system used to reduce the speed of the pump. They can slow down the pumping action to half the speed of the engine.

Tanks: The tanks of power washers come in various sizes and are made from different kinds of steel like stainless steel, mild steel or carbon steel. They are also made from plastic or glass. These tanks are known as wash tanks or immersion tanks.

Horsepower (HP) is the unit that measures work done by a power washer. It determines the amount of power the machine has to clean the surface. The horsepower of a machine is directly proportional to the volume of pressure of water or both.

Power washers can clean oil, grease and grime, corrosion and various other contaminants from different surfaces. They are also used for surface preparation. They can do both heavy duty and light duty cleaning jobs. The power washers available today are safe, durable, affordable and attractive too.

A power washer is one of the best time saving tools to come along in years. Besides cleaning the house or a building from a dust, dirt, or bird residual, pressure washing houses should also be done when you want to prepare it for new paint by removing a chalking residue from old oil or latex paint.
