Take a Daily Stroll..

Mag Inzire
Walking is one of the best wonders in the world, although some may not view it as a rigorous form of exercise there are numerous benefits in just a simple walk a day. Recently I started my own program of just daily walking, not an intense walking program just a daily stroll and I can absolutely tell you that I feel great. I have found that my overall stamina has increased as well as regulating my bodily functions. I am a big fan of The Biggest Loser episode and I feel that this has given me the incentive to start a daily walking ritual and it really works.

There is no specific skill needed to master this task. All that is needed is the desire and a good pair of shoes. Most of all there is no special equipment to purchase, so no guilt will set in if you are not able to follow through as there is no real expense. It is one of the safest exercises that can be done. Walking is a natural part of life and is not stressful on most body parts as this can be done at any pace.

Benefits of walking:

Statistics have shown that walking burns almost as many calories as jogging if done on a daily basis. It eases body pains if done in a natural form and at a regular pace. Walking lowers blood pressure and reduces the risk of cardiac diseases. It improves muscle tone and helps you slim down. The best benefit that I have found for myself it that has reduced my overall anxiety levels and daily tension. Walking is an exercise that can include everyone including children, pets and spouses. Or it is a great outlet to just do it alone. The fact is that walking is probably the only exercise that there is no excuse not to do.

How walking has helped me:

I look forward to my daily walk and it gets my mind off of many day by day stressors that we all face. There is no challenge to walking and it is easy enough that it can be done in short bouts and even when traveling. I have found that the more times I have gone walking it has given me the encouragement to walk further and more. Mentally this has made me an improved person because I feel that I can approach things better. I feel good about myself both physically and mentally and I am able to see things clearer and make better adjustments in my life including lifestyle changes. I make healthier choices in the foods that I eat and prepare for my family.

Why walking:

I recommend this type of exercise for everyone. Whether it is to lose weight or just to regain that well being to cope with everyday life, walking is beneficial in all aspects. I believe that all should have an outlet especially in the world of today, just to maintain sanity. And if everything else seems impossible then maybe a daily stroll is all that is needed. Good Luck.
