Ben's deli in Bayside, NY is one of the best delicatessens in New York City. For those of you who have never heard of this famous restaurant in New York, Bens Deli has built up a steady reputation over the years for having the best hot dogs or frankfurters in the city. Bens' deli serves Glatt kosher meat and food but people of every culture and ethnicity eat at Bens Deli because the food is so good. My favorite part about Bens Deli is that they give you an overwhelming amount of food and you pay a comparatively cheap price for all the food they give you. I guarantee you that you will never walk away from the table after your meal hungry.

On most nights, you will be able to get a table within 5 minutes because the seating capacity for the restaurant is enormous. They are 3 different seating rooms for customers so that people don't have to wait long to eat. A waiter or waitress will come over to your table rather quickly to ask you if you would like to start off with something to drink. Bens Deli also gives you a complimentary co slaw and pickles.

The best food to get at Bens Deli is the dinner specials. For about $18 or $20, you can get a dinner special that comes with your choice of soup, a main entrée, and soda, coffee or tea. The portion of soup that you get is a very big bowl and their specials for soup include lentil, matzo ball, and a thick vegetable soup. The dinner specials usually are breaded veal chops or a sautéed chicken dish. The main course also comes with 2 side dishes for your choice of a vegetable or some type of potato dish. My favorite side dish is their fried broccoli. Other main course dinners that aren't necessarily dinner specials include hot open turkey or brisket, Hawaiian chicken, various types of chicken, steak, meatballs and a whole lot more. For sodas, there are free refills. By the time you are done eating, you will almost always be full. In fact most people end up brown bagging the leftovers of their meal because they can't finish everything and because the food is so good.

Parking is also extremely easy at Bens Deli. The restaurant is located in a large shopping mall so there is plenty of parking. You can usually find a parking spot right in front of the restaurant. Bens Deli is also open late until 10pm or 10:30pm on most nights. Bens Deli is a great place to take the entire family and for a very affordable price, you can't get better food anywhere else.
