Benz Takes a Hit!

Many of my favorite Myspace videos can be seen on my own Myspace profile, but this one takes the cake! This Myspace video titled Grannie and the Airbag is not only one of the funniest videos on Myspace, but it has a little twist in the video that involves a Mercedes Benz driver and an elderly lady in her seventies or early eighties.

The main action of the film is filmed by a couple of skateboarders that were minding their own business. The immediately stop because they heard a Mercedes Benz squeal its tires. Would you like to know why the Mercedes Benz squealed its tires? It seems as though the driver of the Mercedes was in quite a hurry and didn't notice a little old lady who was crossing the street. Instead of hitting and killing her, the driver of the Mercedes quickly came to a stop while squealing its tires. This is the moment when the two skateboarders turned to see what was happening. One of the skateboarders happens to have a video camera in hand so the whole situation is caught on camera!

The old lady proceeded to cross the street in front of the Mercedes Benz, although it's apparent that she's a little angry. Rightfully so, as anyone would be angry if a car comes impatiently screeching up to the crosswalk right in front of them. This little elderly lady, however, was pretty upset at the fact that the Mercedes came to a screeching halt right in front of her, almost giving her a heart attack. The funny part comes when she is in the middle of the road crossing the street. Since she is holding a paper shopping bag in her hand, she proceeds to hit the Mercedes Benz right on the front grill! Just the fact that she would strike the Mercedes on the front grill is hilarious when you view the video, but then something not expected happens. Because the elderly lady is so successful in hitting the Mercedes Benz, the airbags inflate while the driver is stopped! In this Myspace video, you can easily tell that the driver of the Mercedes is not only frustrated at Grannie for crossing the street so slowly, but he's angry that the airbags inflated! You'll have to watch Grannie and the Airbag for yourself as you'll be tempted to play the video over and over again!

This Myspace video, however, has many questions surrounding the situation, especially about the Mercedes Benz. Is it really possible that the airbags of a Mercedes Benz could inflate at the simple hit of an old grandma? Or is it a malfunction of this particular car that isn't supposed to happen? Everyone knows that Mercedes Benz cars are supposed to be one of the safest automobiles to drive in, but do they really need to protect you from the punch of a little old grannie crossing the street?

Additionally, this Myspace video has important implications for hurried drivers. Maybe the important message of the video is to slow down while driving or something unexpected and unwanted may happen to your automobile, like in the case of this Mercedes Benz. No matter what the message of this video is, though, it is hilarious that the skateboarders caught this scene on tape and every time you watch it you'll want to replay it over and over again!
