Berkley Tries to Kick Out the Marines!

The Commie Capitol of the U.S Strikes Again

Randy Inman
Recently the powers that be in Berkley California decided they wanted to kick the United States Marines out of town. According to Insidebayarea.com the city council voted 6-3 to tell the Marines to remove a recruiting station from the town. They are also giving "Code Pink" an anti war protest group, special parking to protest the Marines.

This has not gone unanswered. Republican Senator Jim DeMint of South Carolina is deeply offended by this. He says he will introduce legislation to stop Federal Funds from the Omnibus Appropriations bill from going to Berkley. And the money would then go to the Marine's if he gets his way.

In an era of Republican leaders bending over backwards to kiss up to or join the Liberals, this is very refreshing. It is great to see someone stand up and say enough is enough and do the right thing. I say Kudos to you Senator DeMint!

Now to the city council members of Berkley who voted for this. The reason you get to spout your stupid Liberal crap is because men and women have died to keep your rights for you. The United States Marines are often the first in and last out of any conflict and should ALWAYS be treated with respect.

I guess some of the people in Berkley want to keep up their reputation as War Haters they got in the 1960's. Well that is all well and good, I love free speech, even from idiots. But to spit on the people who protect that right, is moronic.

This is what would happen in a true and just world. ALL Federal Funding should be cut off, as well as any Federal Services in the city. The Marines should march through the town and remove any United States Flags they see. We can find some nice communist flags to fly over the armpit of America and just right Berkley off as bad karma.

Shame on this city. Whether someone thinks the current foreign policy decisions being made are a step forward for this country or not the Marines should not be looked down upon. Shame on that city's government!

What happened in Berkeley was an outrage; basically they told the Marines they weren't welcome in their own Country! Despicable, especially in a time of war.

An excellent article Randy! I agree completely that free shpeech is a good thing, but then to try to push out the various protecters of that right borders on stupidity, if not insanity. Berkeley is and was known as a place of free thinking, but it seems the free thinking has gone more to one of repression, and hate mongering.

You are on target and 100% accurate. I gave you five stars. I think we both published on this subject within minutes of each other. Good work, Randy!
