Bernard Madoff Client List: Lots of 'Friends'

Bernard Madoff's Ponzi Scheme Client List Comprises 162 Pages

Michael Thompson
A list of people who Bernard Madoff allegedly ripped off in his alleged multi-billion dollar Ponzi scheme comprises 162 pages.

We say "allegedly" in regard to Bernard Madoff as part of pro forma journalism, even though he reportedly has confessed to authorities.

Just think, 162 pages! Many of us could list "true friends" on only a single page, or even just part of a page, and then we would begin to list acquaintences. Even then, we might get to page four or page five, and even start to run out of acquaintences. This guy Bernard Madoff has 162 pages of people he cheated.

John Malkovich. Steven Spielberg. Kevin Bacon. The estate of John Denver.

Keep going, Bernard Madoff. How about Frank Lautenberg, who is a U.S. senator from New Jersey. How about Barbara Bach, who is Ringo Starr's spouse? How about Fred Wilpon, who owns the New York Mets? How about Lady Victoria de Rothschild, to make sure the Brits are included? How about Sandy Koufax, who may want to aim his patented fastball toward Bernard Madoff's skull?

Scam reports are pouring in, nationwide. "At least seven investors with St. Louis ties ..." (bizjournals.com) "More than a dozen South Carolina addresses ..." (charleston.net)

Bernard Madoff's sons and daughters-in-laws are on the list. Ewwwww, hold your nose!

Bernard Madoff's own lawyer is on there. Well, if anyone might have a chance for recompense, we have to figure it would be Bernard Madoff's lawyer.

Rene-Theirry Magon de la Villehuch of France won't be collecting any recompense. That's because he learned that his investors had lost $1.5 billion via Bernard Madoff. Of course, Bernard Madoff is free from prison, under "house arrest" in his Park Avenue penthouse, because his alleged crimes are deemed to be white-collar and thus nonviolent in nature. Tell that to the family and friends of Rene-Theirry Magon de la Villehuch.

A Los Angeles Times blog site, latimesblogs.latimes.com, reports that Bernard Madoff has started to wear a bullet-proof vest, just in case somebody he bilked might penetrate the Park Avenue security. For the sake of safety, maybe Bernard Madoff might want to opt for prison after all.

This is a joke, plain & simple!! What about the guy who stole food for his children...he is in the slammer for a very long time & this Madoff is still living the life of luxury. He is scum & needs to be in jail with all the other criminals...& the judge should be his cellmate!!!!
