Bernie Madoff Didn't Get to Make Off with His Loot

Do We Have a Midas in the Making?

Bernie Madoff got sentenced to 150 years, the maximum, in the federal courts. We are slightly aware of the history of his pillaging of the affluent playing at making huge fortunes by hiring an obvious swindler. The morals of those people who went along with Madoff's bizzare schemes is really not all that interesting. At least, not to me. I am acutely aware of a local swindler who makes off with huge sums as fees for advising amoral advisers under which walnut to hide their ill gotten gains. What is of more interest to me is the sentence. Does the judge really expect Bernie to live for 150 years? And, maximum , at that, why not tell us what the minimum will be.

I think we all see a tearful Mrs. Madoff like a caricature in a Picasso minimalist portrait escorting her spouse out of prison and to the cemetary.

And, must we mourn for his demise as his shrieking spouse demands? Is she some goddess used to getting her way and how dare the courts tell her nay. She should consider the past, since she could have been in France and the people could have said, Off, with his royal head.

But, no, we are going to house and pay his medical bills and give him an expensive cough drop or two whilst his family cavorts in the palatial style of a Greek tycoon.

I do not mean to sound so mean but the entire event is surely a hoax. They broke off a tip but we would like to see the entire iceberg smack dab on top of the SEC.
