Why we need a season 2 for a great anime.
First and for most Berserk is an anime based on a manga of the same name It is bloody, violent and very gory. But at the same time it holds meaning and substance. Everything in the anime and manga has a meaning and nothing is left to simple filler. This is quite simply one of the best anime I have ever seen. And I have seen a lot.
The story of Berserk takes place in a fictional time and place much like Lord of the Rings. But this is not about a quest nor does it have wizards and orcs. Berserk is a layered piece of work based on friendship, emotion and betrayal.
Berserk focuses on three major characters. They are Guts, Griffith, and Casca. These three share much more that a love triangle. Guts is the star, the focal point of the show. When we are introduced to his character in the first episode when can see that he has a scar across his nose, one of his eyes is closed because he is missing one and one of his arms is replaced by a metal gauntlet that can fire a small cannon ball. He also carries a huge sword almost as tall as him and describe in the manga as a "slab of iron". As you can see he has been through hell...and that's not the half of it.
When we run into Griffith and Casca we travel roughly 6 years back. At this point Guts is no more the 15 or 16 years old as he is seen battling against a man in armor. He is known as Bazuzo, the 30 man slayer. Guts, at this age seems to be more than a match for him. Later he runs into Griffith and his band of the Hawk.
When a few members spot him they figure he has a nice amount of cash from beating Bzuzo. About 5 or 6 members attack Guts but they are no match for them. One dies and another loses his arm. Casca steps in to help, but Guts beats her too. The mercenaries are shocked. No one can beat her save for Griffith. Enter Griffith, a young boy who looks very much like a girl with long flowing silver hair. A challenge is made-if Guts wins he walks away but if Griffith wins he does what he wants with Guts.
Griffith's weapon is a simple rapier against Guts huge bastard Sword, and still Griffith wins. And now Guts is forever apart of the Band of the Hawk. In this anime Berserk nothing is as it seems.
After watching the whole series you might want to take a hot bath, say a few Hail Mary's and maybe even pray just that bit more. This is why there needs to be a second season...Berserk is just that good. It leaves nothing out as far as story telling. And the ending makes you beg for more, no, it makes you demand more.Right now I get my fix through the manga. It is still going on to this day. So I see hope in the future for Berserk to come back to TV. And with that I will leave you with the intro to the show Berserk.
"In this world, is the destiny of mankind controlled by some transcendental entity or law? Is it like the hand of God hovering above? At least it is true, that man has no control, even over his own will."

Post a CommentI'll be glad if they did have season 2 or whatever out..I'm hoping that they will because I am a huge fan.
You want them to remake the last two episodes? For me a redo of any kind is out of the question. So much time and emotion has been invested that we need closure of some kind. I have read all the way up to Vol. 22...give or take a volume so there is plenty of material to work with.
Okay, I'm about to be a little controversial, but bear with me. I don't think they should make a second season, but instead remake the last two (and a quarter). Personally, I loved the dynamic of Gatsu fighting for the crippled Griffith, no longer able to achieve his dream. It was really tragic. Maybe they could redo the series, with Gatsu fighting to avenge Griffith as the black swordsman, and the nobles and monsters being the ones who set him off. They could even tie it up so that the snakeman is the last person Gatsu had to kill.
Just my opinion. Feel free to disagree.
they have to make season 2 soon!!!!
2912 is coming, no!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111
There is a rumor that they may remake Season 1 once the manga is completed, then move onto making Season's 2 and 3. Mind you, this is only a rumor so far, as no one will give a definite answer as to one way or the other.
It would be orgasmic if they make another season..I am waiting for too long
The creator said he would like more to be made but he wants to get farther in the manga. Right now he is quite far ahead. Even in Japan they had censorship issues so anything is possible. I think ultimately it depends on how far he plans on taking the series. It could be in 3 parts. But at this point it is too early to tell.
season 2 would be nice, i doubt it though, maby after the manga is over, but otherwise the only way to get a new season would be as the person below me said if it aired on network telivision, but the censorship issues would bastardize it
also another season of gantz would be nice
although dont lose hope, family guy came back, maby berserk can too!
there can be a season two if they really wanted to put one down they would its simple all they have to do is start season one again on T.V. then FAns like me and other people will get into to it then they can just bring season two out!!!. Also I know how he escapes from the eclipse, he's rescued by the armored skull knight, in which they didnt show at all on season one, but if you bought season one DVD his picture is on the disk
Starting up more episodes so late after its gone is not an unheard pf thing. The material is there in the manga it just needs to be made. The only thing that will be tough to do is enplane how he escaped the end. Because that means was taken away from t he anime.
