Top 4 Movies to See in Theatres This Thanksgiving

K. Anderson
If you are like me, then you will probably be spending the Thanksgiving Holiday with family and friends. Though this is great and should be a wonderful time, sometimes the boredom sets in as you all just sit around. Whether you have young cousins running around the house, or grandparents roaming the halls, it is always fun to get out of the house for a while. So why not go to a movie? While this may not sound like your ideal getaway, it really can be a great experience to take off for the movie theatre with your crew (family or friends). Going to the movies is a great way to kill some time and it will give you something to talk about with the people you are spending this holiday with. Here are what I think to be the top 4 great movies that are out in theatres this Thanksgiving:

1-The Blind Side (PG-13)

The Blind Side is a fantastic movie playing in theatres this Thanksgiving that gives viewers a real insight into just how much we have to be thankful for. With actors like Sandra Bullock and Tim McGraw, this movie is excellent and fun to watch. It tells the true story of a homeless young African American and his journey to achieve his dreams. This is a great movie to go see with the whole family, and will give you something to smile about throughout the holiday.

2-The Twilight Saga: New Moon (PG-13)

Finally, the much anticipated and long awaited sequel has arrived. If you are a Twilight follower, then you will surely love the new movie. This is a particularly good fit for teenagers and adults who have read the Twilight series, or are simply interested in the movies.

3-Old Dogs (PG)

Robin Williams, Kelly Preston, and John Travolta in one movie? It is sure to be a great laugh for all who watch it, as well as an inspiring story of what is truly important to all of us.

4-The Princess and the Frog (G)

Who doesn't dream of their prince? Take your children or small cousins to see the tale of the princess and the frog and you will re-capture a glimpse of your childhood and what dreams are made of. This movie will surely put a smile on everyone's face this Thanksgiving.

So there you have it, a movie for all ages. Whether you are in search of a movie for the whole family, you want to send the teenagers out for a bit, you think the grandparents would like to get involved, or you want to take the young kids out, these movies provide you with a good fit for all. Hopefully this will help you narrow down your search for a good movie this Thanksgiving!
