Get Ready for your 4th of July Pow-Wow, BECAUSE:

"We will not go quietly into the night! We will not vanish without a fight! We're going to live on! We're going to survive! Today we celebrate our Independence Day!" (Independence Day, 1996)

... So many movies, quotes, lyrics and tunes go through my head when I think of "that day". "That day" that comes around once a year, but represents one day in history! The day that we declared freedom! Will we get tired of celebrating it? HECK NO! It celebrates our independence and I will stand with Americano pride when the fireworks blast in the air AND the National Anthem Plays,
"Oh Say Can you See, By the Stars Early Light, What so PROUDLY we hailed, ... last gleaming, The ROCKETS ... glare, the BOMBS bursting in air, gave proof through the night, that our FLAG WAS STILL THERE (yes it was still there, oh yes, thanks to the brave men and woman that fought our battles. America still stands!!!), Oh Say Does .... Stars Bangle, Banner yet wave ... Or the LAND of the FREE and the HOME of the BRAVE!" ...
Makes me want to join the military! It's all about Pride, Integrity, and Guts, BABY!

Let's go over some more songs that ring true to the spirit of Independence Day in the United States of America! (in no particular order; and they're not all country; just most)

Star Spangled Banner by Whitney Houston
(It's a given; obvious ... I can't believe President Obama would even suggest changing our National Anthem. It stands for what we believe in: "Don't go quietly ...")

God Bless America by Kate Smith
(Again, What is the 4th of July without this #1 classic, "God Bless America")

God Bless the U.S.A. by Lee Greenwood
(Always been one of my favorites ... I'm forced by my inner pride to take my hat off every time I listen to it ... You know its GOOD!)

Born in the U.S.A. by Bruce Springsteen
(Got to Rock out a little bit - This will pump you up!)

Independence Day by Martina McBride
(This was actually the first song that started playing in my head when beginning to create this list, but I held off because I didn't think it was quite as empowering and inspirational as the others that started popping in my head!)

American Soldier by Toby Keith
("All dressed up for success from my head down to my boots" - AMEN BROTHER - God Bless You, THEN America!!!)

Courtesy of the Red White and Blue by Angry American
(This is one spectacular way of saying "We'll shove a boot right up your bunghole" HAHA!)

America Will Survive by Hank Williams Jr.
(A remake of "Country Boy Can Survive" or vise-versa; not sure; either way this one is a HIT in my book!)

Where The Stars and Stripes and The Eagle Fly by Aaron Tippin
(Aaron Tippin has a way with portraying pride through ALL of his songs. Just look at "I got it Honest", "You've Got to Stand for Something", and "Working Man's PhD" ... Tippin MOST DEFINITELY deserves a song spot on this freedom list as far as I'm concerned.)

Dixieland Delight by Alabama
(This one you might find a little odd and out of place because it is NOT really about Independence Day, however I find it to be in line with the dreams and memories of growing up in America. Just listen to the song and imagine the USA's "Country Roads" (c/o John Denver), and think about what is to come of your life when you are just a teen driving down Route 66 with your high school sweetheart in the passenger seat ... What do you see? What Do you Dream? What is Possible? Dixieland Delight?)

Alright, It was a pleasure re-introducing you to some good time freedom hits that hopefully will spark up "your day", "any day", because "any day" we could lose our freedom! Don't take it for granted!
