Green Light Blossom-End Rot Spray
This corrects a calcium deficiency in tomatoes. Tomato Blossom End Rot is caused by not enough calcium in the tomato plant and makes the fruit inedible. Black spots form on the base of the fruit and spread. This fertilizer is in concentrate form and must be mixed prior to use. Mix ½ ounce of Blossom-End Rot Spray with one quart of water. Apply directly to the plant. For more information, see this link: http://www.organic-gardening-shop.com/agorganics/Product_Details.aspx?ProductID=389
Miracle-Gro LiquaFeed
An easy yet efficient way to feed your tomatoes; this attaches to your hose and you just spray it. No measuring or scooping smelly fertilizer. Plus, you don't even need to touch the plant! Many people are allergic to the acid in the tomato vines, and this makes it simple for them to enjoy their garden. It is not safe for pets, and lasts 14 days. Jobe's® Tomato Fertilizer Spikes
These spikes are made especially for tomatoes. They come in a pack of 18. You stick them in the ground near the roots and they feed for sixty days. These are simple to use, and I might just have to buy some for my little plants. You can purchase them and read more about them at: http://www.acehardware.com/product/index.jsp?productId=1335046&kw=tomato+fertilizer&origkw=tomato+fertilizer&searchId=40043814913
Schultz® Tomato Plant Food
This plant food is concentrated so you will need to mix it properly with the right amount of water in your watering can. It is $6.99 for a 1.5 pound box. I have never used Schultz before, but from all the reviews I have read, it is a great product. You can purchase it at this link:http://www.acehardware.com/product/index.jsp?productId=1335026&kw=tomato+fertilizer&origkw=tomato+fertilizer&searchId=40043814913
Scotts® Miracle-Gro® Tomato Plant Food
This can be used on all vegetables to help them grow. This is different from the Miracle-Gro I have already listed because this is concentrated and must be mixed with water in a watering can. This is good because you can regulate how much you feed the plants. It is suggested to feed them every 7-14 days. You can purchase it at this link: http://www.acehardware.com/product/index.jsp?productId=1335056&kw=tomato+fertilizer&origkw=tomato+fertilizer&searchId=40043814913

Thanks for the advice! I've been using Miracle Grow this year with great results. It works on my pepper plants too!
My tomatoes are doing great. I might try the spikes next year.
I'd love to grow tomatoes. I'm printing this one out for future reference. Thanks. :-)
Very good infromation. My beefstake tomatoes always became cherry tomatoes. I gave it up years ago.
Maybe I should plant a veggie garden in the front yard instead of the usual bushes and flowers. Seems more useful. :)
