Mike C.
The year 2009 gave us many great movies which will no doubt inspire creative Halloween costumes this year. Here is a look at 10 of the best Associated Content articles detailing movie-themed costumes for this year.

1. Edward Cullen from Twilight : To be the super sexy Edward Cullen for Halloween, find you a "Edward pea coat" either online or at a thrift store. Fix your face up with pale makeup and put in fangs over your teeth.

2. Bella Swan from Twilight : This article details a couple ways to make a Bella Swam costume for Halloween. You can wear a simple shirt and jeans with Edwards favorite color blue in a jacket. Another idea is to re-create Bella going to prom in her blue dress and on crutches.

3. Hannah Montana :The perfect Hannah Montana costume for your kiddo will include a long wig (unless your daughter already has long blonde hair), glamorous jewels, and bright super pop star clothing like Hannah wears. This article does a great job at detailing a great Hannah costume!

4. Bumblebee from Transformers : Bumblebee costumes are bound to be super popular this Halloween among Transformer fans. You'll need yellow and black fabric, glue, helmet, and black sweat suit to name a few of the major components. You'll be using the fabrics to create Bumblebee's details.

5. Optimus Prime from Transformers : This is a simple, 5-step guide to creating a Optimus Prime costume for your kid. The biggest parts of this costume are boxes. You'll cut holes so that the boxes fit on your child and then decorate them with paints and construction paper.

6. Short Fuse GI Joe Costume : Since the GI Joe movie has come out, GI Joe costumes are going to be popular with children and some adults this year. To create a GI Joe costume you'll need to wear camo pants, a green t-shirt, boots, and black bag on your shoulder. You can put 2 black stripes under eyes with black paint. A plastic or inflatable gun can complete the ensemble, if allowed.

7. Wall-E : Wall-E was a cute family movie. If your child wants to wear a Wall-E costume for Halloween this year, you'll need either cardboard boxes or foam, cut and fit to your child's body measurements. Glue, tape, and spray paint will be used to decorate the Wall-E costume. Goggles will be Wall-E's eyes and big gloves as his hands.

8. Terminator : Terminator: Salvation is another movie hit for this year. This article helps you find a retailer who sells awesome Terminator costumes so you don't have to make one yourself. Most of the stores listed are Halloween costume shops online but some listed by the author are our usual local retail stores.

9. Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince : Instead of just Harry Potter, this article suggests Hermione, Dumbledore or scary Death Eater costumes for Halloween. Harry costumes require lightning bolt scar on the forehead and glasses. Death Eater costumes are black robes with black masks. As the author writes, you can find many Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince masks and outfit pieces online and in stores.

10. Rosalie from Twilight : I have to include another Twilight costume! Rosalie Cullen costumes need dark skinny jeans, tight tank top with jacket, heels, and your hair or wig needs to be long blonde with loose curls. Even though Rosalie is beautiful, the makeup needs to be pale as a vampire. You can add red or pink lipstick. Hoop earrings and possibly gold contact lens are good accessories.
