Halloween is a time of fun and frenzy for all. Our pets are no exception. People are dressing their pets up and treating their pets to special treats. Associated Content has some great articles to help our pets have the best Halloween possible. Here are 10 of my favorite articles.

Amy Curran shares where to find the right Halloween costume for your pet at a reasonable price. I chose this article because some of the places she has listed are probably unknown to many people. She lists average prices, and she has found some real bargains. http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/11137/find_the_perfect_halloween_costumes.html?cat=8

Erica Williams wrote an article with some really great ideas for "Homemade Halloween Costumes for Cats". Her instructions are clear, step-by-step instructions. Her costume ideas were easy to make and insightful. It includes a fairy princess, a devil cat, a pirate, a sports fan, and a bunny.

Rachel Davis wrote "Awesome Halloween Costume Ideas for Pets". In her article, she included some great ideas for accessorizing our pets so that pets can be comfortable while still being dressed up for Halloween. Some things she includes are ideas for collars, bandanas, fake ears, and more. One of the things that I liked about this article is that it took the comfort of the animal into consideration and kept the ideas simple enough for just about anyone.

Jody Morse came up with some great ideas for our pets on Halloween also. Her article "Halloween Costume Ideas for Dogs and Cats" has ideas that will look great when they are finished but are easy to create. She includes step-by-step instructions for a Bumble Bee, a Pig, a pirate, a cowboy, candy corn, a pumpkin, and more. She has a really nice variety of costumes for all tastes.

Janet Trieschman wrote an interesting article, "Free Patterns for Halloween Pet Costumes", about where to find patterns for making Halloween costumes for your pets. This article suggests places to find pet projects, needlework, knitting patterns, and craft costumes for pets. This is a great article for Halloween, but it also has resources that would be valuable for crafts any time of the year. http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/1046240/free_patterns_for_halloween_pet_costumes_pg2.html?cat=74

Safety is a big issue for everyone at Halloween. Our pets are no exception. Having so many strangers come to the house, the strange looking costumes, and candy can all create an uncomfortable situation for pets. I have chosen three different articles that each offer different point about pet safety during Halloween. Kate Hornsby shares 5 of her safety tips in "Pet Safety Tips for Halloween". Tips on what pets should not eat, where to keep a pet on Halloween, costume advice, and more.

Each of the safety articles that I read mentioned that chocolate is deadly for pets. Still, we want our pets to have special treats for Halloween, too. This article, by Take It or Leave It, contains several "Homemade Snack for Your Dog".
