1. Vivitar HD Camcorder (DVR528R-TA) w/ 32 MB Memory
Vivitar is a name you can really trust when it comes to camcorders - you'll see their products often on this list. With excellent video quality and very reliable hardware, this model is a great choice for anyone looking for their first camera. It might not have the bells and whistles of higher end models, but it's well worth the price tag of $50.
2. Coby Flash Memory TFT LCD HD Camcorder
To start things off, this model is a little notorious for eating up its 3 AAA batteries. The audio and video are both superb with only a few minor lighting issues to speak of. The camera itself is easy to use as is the included software. While not perfect, it's a great choice for anyone looking for something a little more stylish to hold onto.
3. Insignia LCD HD Digital Camcorder
With a bright, crisp display screen and excellent audio quality - we're off to a good start with Insignia's premier offering. Where this camera stumbles is in user-friendliness. The features can be tough to utilize effectively and the button layout isn't optimal. If you're tech savvy enough, this won't be a problem - but a novice may struggle.
4. Polaroid CAA HD Digital Camcorder
You'll be impressed by the quality of this Polaroid camcorder as long as you have sufficient lighting. While this is a common issue with camcorders- here it is a much more serious one. The range of options is impressive and battery life is above average. Otherwise par for the course.
5. Vivitar 410 HD Digital Camcorder
This model is well-known for its ease of use, low price tag, and energy efficiency. While some do not appreciate the combination of mid-level quality visuals and low energy intake, it's a very dependable piece. It takes 3 AAA batteries that last several hours longer than its same price peers. The camera is comfortable to hold and includes an A/V cable to view videos through almost any TV. The pack-in software is equally user-friendly.
6. Aiptek HD Flash Memory Camcorder
While Aiptek tends to disappoint some buyers that stray over to its line, this little device is very impressive. With above average battery life and superb visual quality- this one should be highly recommended. The only fault I can really weigh against this great little camcorder is that its lens gets easily smudged for some reason.
7. Vivitar HD Camcorder w/ 32 MB
This Vivitar's pros and cons should come as no surprise to those familiar with the brand. The key difference to its energy efficient, mid-level video cousins is... its visuals are much more impressive! The graphical quality isn't amazing, but it's a big step up from other models. On the audio side things are equally impressive with very clear, concise capabilities.
