Lynchburg Virginia

Lynchburg Virginia is another American city to visit on a budget. Hotel stays in Lynchburg vary from $29 to $89 a night. That is a good deal for that area.

There are a few little known attractions in Lynchburg Virginia like the "ABC" Cemetery. The cemetery is located off 122 near Bedford Virginia. It's an unusual cemetery because the former caretaker Thomas Aadland kept the cemetery in alphabetical order. He had a sickness that compelled him to dig up graves and stones and rebury so that they were in "ABC" order. The very last grave in the cemetery is a man named Thomas Zuckerman known as Thomas Aadland. There is no charge to visit this cemetery.

While in Lynchburg Virginia, take a breath and stay at "Gilligan's Island" Bed and Breakfast located on Smith Mountain Lake. Accommodations include a bamboo hut and fine dining. The hotel stay is reasonable starting around $49 to $200 per night depending on the hotel and its location. If you choose a hotel just outside of Nashville, you get better deals on hotel rooms.
