Best American Videos Owner Jean Toucko Interview
Talks About Building Turnkey Websites to Help People Make Money
After talking for awhile and looking over his turnkey websites I was intrigued with the cheap prices. I thought how helpful these would be to share with everyone so I asked Jean to do an interview with me. One part was on the phone and the other through various emails, but the end result was a great interview with lots of laughs. I know you'll enjoy it as well.
Michael:Hey Jean, I'm curious to know how someone like yourself becomes interested in building turnkey websites for a living?
Jean:Well, when I was a kid I just liked creating new things that people were interested in seeing. As I got older and the Internet became more popular, the idea of making money at home sounded great. After I started making some lute it was evident that even people with no Internet knowledge could do the same. So instead of making them learn HTML and all the other stuff, I wanted to help others make money.
Heck, with all the layoffs and rising prices without higher wages it's become a nightmare out there. Any type of extra money is helpful and I just figured building turnkey websites for others would be a great idea.
Michael:That's pretty cool. Can you explain for our readers what turnkey websites are and how difficult it is to keep up with them?
Jean: Sure. Basically turnkey websites are already setup for you to start making money, all you do is start the engine. The only thing you would do by yourself is figure out what you want on there. To be quite frank it was difficult in the beginning for myself. I was trying to learn all this stuff with no help and most nights the frustration was setting in big time! However, the way I have things set up now, my clients don't have to go through the Internet maze to get things done. Hey, you've used the back office. What do you think?
Michael:Lol, I'm giving the interview here Jean. I'm kidding, but personally I thought it was very easy. Now since I know a thing or two, a good example would be my mom for those of you who don't know anything about cyberspace "techie stuff" as she calls it. If she can set aside some time and read over a few things, then go mess around in the back office it can't be too hard. I'm proud of her and she's learning more everyday.
Back to you though. Now that we all have a good idea about what turnkey websites are, tell us a little bit about Best American Videos.
Jean: Well, Best American Videos is all about owning great American video blog websites. When the workday is over what do people enjoy? Sports, politics, celebrity gossip, reality television shows, and basically good entertainment. For instance if someone loves to watch American Idol and talks to everyone about it, why not make money from it. Or how about all the sports fans out there. I know your brother purchased that NFLfansunite.com website because he loves football. Why not make money while you're doing what you already do.
Michael:I agree. Videos are so popular on the Internet now this really is a great idea. I really want to get one of these for my son. He loves Alex Rodriguez, so I'll have to get with you on an MLB website here in the near future. In the meantime I'm sure the readers want to know how you can make money with turnkey websites. Where does it come from online?
Jean: It really depends on the person. You definitely want to place Google Adsense or some form of ad program on your turnkey websites. If the Adsense is on thousands of pages that can be a lot of money. Then signing up for places like Clickbank, Linkshare, or any other affiliate commissions program and placing links on your website is another way as well. Even if you have stuff on eBay and want to get traffic to it, why not place the links on your turnkey websites. Extra exposure never hurt anyone.
Michael:Okay, okay. My wheels are spinning again with all the different things you could do to one of these turnkey websites. Anyways, I did a lot of research on turnkey websites and found that high quality can run you about $600. Even the low quality ones can go for about $300. So how can you sell yours for an amount that looks a little too good to be true?
Jean: Good question. How many people do you know that want to own a website online to make money? Now think about all the people out there that do. Do you think most of them have $300-$600 to shell out. How about the people that won't do it because they no nothing about how to run a website. Mix that with a high cost and it sounds like a waste of money, along with precious time.
We're in a time when it's a nightmare out there. People are being laid off, businesses are closing, the powers-to-be won't just come out and say we're in a recession. This is why I offer them for much less then anywhere else. It gives everyone a chance to get involved and start making money which is the main objective. I have several repeat customers just because they see the results and want another one. Multiple streams of income are great and those who do it ultimately reap the rewards.
Michael:Hey that's fantastic. It's nice to see someone who isn't just in it for the money. You don't find that too often anymore. Yea, multiple streams are important and from personal experience the back office is pretty much the easiest I've ever seen. Another thing I want to ask though is about your appraisals. Are those for real? They look too good to be true.
Jean: Lol, what do you mean? Do you think I made those up? Just kidding, I know what you're saying and am pretty sure people will wonder the same thing. However, to answer your question it all comes down to a rigorous system the domain is put through by these appraisal companies. Is it easily searchable? How big will the target audience be? Is it simple to type in and many other aspects all contribute to the bottom line.
Michael:That makes sense. Thanks for clarifying. So why don't you tell everyone what you offer as far as building these turnkey websites. I mean if someone wanted anything could they get it?
Jean: Well define "anything?" I'm not going to make something that is distasteful because word of mouth goes a long way and I don't want Best American Videos to be talked about on the bad side of a conversation. If you want World of Warcraft. Done. How about Barack Obama? Done. Reality TV? Done. Sports? Done. I could literally sit here forever and make a long list but you get the idea.
Michael:Got it.So I went over to your website and noticed you don't have a "contact us" area. How are people who are reading this article supposed to get a hold of you if they have questions?
Jean: Man you don't miss a thing do you. Well, to answer the question I don't like doing things that way. I personally like to talk with the people myself and my staff will call me if someone has a question. Our customer service is through Skype 24/7 at the present time. If anyone reading this wants to get in touch with me I guess the best way would be to message you and you can pass along my ID. I hope everyone will understand why I don't want to just throw that and my phone number onto the internet for the world to see.
Michael:Yea I can do that for sure.Well Jean, I appreciate you taking the time out of your daily routine to have a chat and talk about your turnkey websites. Personally I think it's a steal, which is why I thought it would be a good idea to share with others this way. Thanks again.
Jean: Are you serious? Thank you. This was fun we'll have to do it again some time. Oh and one more thing before I get off of here. Since you have a bunch of avid readers I'll give them a discount. Anyone wanting turnkey websites and tell me they read your article I'll give them $10 off. I don't know what the percent off that is, but when they go to the Best American Videos website it will be worth it. Just my way of saying thanks for those who put their trust in me to help them make money. Alright, I gotta get, see ya Mike.
Michael:Later.
