Homeward Bound

This is a lesser-known but still very enjoyable movie, which follows the adventures of a pug dog as he attempts to rescue his feline friend from the scrapes in which he inevitably finds himself. With its peculiar blend of British humor and the adorable animals that you will see throughout the movie, you will definitely find yourself watching this movie again and again with the people in your family that love animals.
The Bear
If you are looking for an animal movie that has more of an adult edge, then you will definitely want to consider watching this film. It tells the story of a young bear cub that is orphaned by his mother during a terrible rockslide and is subsequently adopted by an adult male bear. This movie was quite revolutionary in some ways and, although not exactly suitable for the children in your family, can nevertheless make enjoyable watching for most other members of the family.
Black Beauty
If you have a horse lover in your family, then you will definitely want to watch this classic, which tells about the extraordinarily powerful bond between a young boy and a black stallion. As they struggle to survive, both in the wild and after their return to civilization, you will find yourself forming an emotional attachment to them as well.

Post a CommentNice choices. It's worth tracking down the original Japanese version of Milo & Otis which had no naration and was actually somewhat dark in tone. It makes for an interesting contrast.
