How long can you stay on your feet dancing? Come find out while raising money for kids with cancer at the Keeping the HeartB.E.A.T. 8 hour dance marathon. The event will feature both local and nationally recognized musicians, DJs, MCs and dance teams from Boston area universities and will challenge volunteered dancers to dance as long as they can between 4pm and 12am Midnight a the House of Blues. The longer they dance, the more money is raised (through individual and event sponsors). Patriot's Day is a greatly respected holiday in Massachusetts. It begins with a flag raising ceremony at 9am at Boston's City Hall Plaza (Government Center T-Stop) with Mayor Thomas Menino, followed by The Annual Patriot's Day Parade. At 10am the celebration will wrap up with a re-enactment of Paul Revere and William Dawes's midnight ride (1775) at the Paul Revere Mall on Hanover Street in front of the Old North Church.

Come join the crowds of people that gather each year to cheer on the runners of the oldest annual marathon in the world. The Boston Marathon is managed by the Boston Athletic Association and sponsored by John Hancock Financial Services. Streets from the starting point in Hopkinton to the finish line on Boylston Street will be closed to make room for runners on Patriots Day.
